The KRUSHERS OF THE WORLD TOUR arrives in Portugal in March 2026 with KREATOR, CARCASS, EXODUS, and NAILS

On March 20, 2026, the Sala Tejo at MEO Arena in Lisbon will host the only Portuguese date of the Krushers Of The World Tour, a rare event that brings together four iconic names who helped shape and continue to redefine extreme metal. Germany's KREATOR, Britain's CARCASS, and America's EXODUS and NAILS represent not only different geographies, but also distinct phases of the genre's evolution, creating a lineup that spans more than four decades of musical history.

On this occasion, the legendary KREATOR returns to Portugal once again as headliners, bringing with them not only the legacy of a career spanning more than forty years, but also new material. Following the explosive "Hate Über Alles," released in 2022, the quartet led by Mille Petrozza is preparing to release its highly anticipated new studio album, "Krushers Of The World," in January 2026, which will be the centerpiece of the tour. This will be a unique opportunity for Portuguese audiences to hear some of the new songs live for the first time, alongside classics such as "Pleasure to Kill," "Phobia," and "Violent Revolution." "We're incredibly excited to kick off the new year with the release of our latest album, 'Krushers Of The World,' arriving on January 16, 2026!" says Mille Petrozza. "But that's not all! On March 20, we hit the road with our biggest production yet. It'll be a night of relentless metal, featuring our brothers-in-arms Carcass, Exodus, and the mighty Nails. This moment marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the band, and we can't wait for you to experience the new tracks live, along with a selection of old and new classics. Alongside Petrozza and company comes CARCASS, an undisputed benchmark of British metal and a precursor to various extreme genres. From the raw brutality of "Symphonies Of Sickness" to their status as founding fathers of melodic death metal with "Heartwork," Jeff Walker and Bill Steer are a unique example of continuous reinvention. After their return with "Surgical Steel" in 2013 and the confirmation of their artistic vitality with the acclaimed 2021 album "Torn Arteries," the group continues to offer shows that span their entire history, balancing the viscerality of their early grindcore with the melodic sophistication that brought them worldwide recognition. The presence of the founding duo maintains the unmistakable identity of a band that has influenced several generations.

Pioneers of the infamous Bay Area thrash scene, EXODUS return to Portugal in a renewed creative phase. After releasing their colossal 2021 album "Persona Non Grata," the group has changed vocalists again and is preparing to release a new album in 2026, the first tracks of which will certainly be part of the lineup for this tour. This will, therefore, be a rare opportunity to attend a concert that combines the historic roots of "Bonded by Blood" with the vitality of the new material. With Gary Holt, a key figure in both this band and Slayer's legacy, at the helm, the group remains one of the genre's most consistent symbols.

Opening the night will be the North American "brutalists" NAILS, whose incisive, intense, and abrasive sound has redefined extreme weight over the last decade. Known for tracks that rarely exceed two minutes, they condense elements of hardcore, grind, and death metal into a signature style, which found its most brutal manifesto in the 2016 hard-hitting "You Will Never Be One Of Us." The debut of the band led by guitarist/vocalist Todd Jones here is eagerly awaited, giving this poster a glimpse into the new generation of extreme metal.

As a result, the meeting of these four bands in Lisbon allows for a line of continuity that stretches from European and North American thrash to the sophistication of British melodic death metal and the vitality of contemporary hardcore/metal. For the Portuguese audience, the concert also takes on a dual dimension: on the one hand, a reunion with bands that have already made their mark on previous visits to our country; on the other, the long-awaited debut of previously unreleased material from the new albums by KREATOR and EXODUS. This combination of the timelessness of classics and the presentation of new compositions confirms that these bands are not limited to simply revisiting their heritage, but remain actively committed to expanding the boundaries of extreme music, keeping it current and projecting it into the future with the same creative urgency that defined their origins.
